Art Technician Wanted – Exciting Short-Term Opportunity!
Are you a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for the arts? We have a fantastic opportunity for an Art Technician to join a thriving educational setting in the South Tyneside area, starting March 3rd for approximately 8 weeks. This flexible role offers the option to work 3 to 5 days per week, making it ideal for those looking to balance work with other commitments.
About the Role:
As an Art Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the art department, ensuring materials and equipment are well-maintained, and assisting in the preparation of creative projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and organizing materials for art lessons
- Maintaining a safe and tidy workspace
- Assisting teachers and students with practical work
- Managing and ordering art supplies
- Handling specialist equipment, including ceramics, printmaking, and digital media (where applicable)

Who We’re Looking For:
We welcome applicants with:
- A background in art, design, or a related field
- Experience working in an artistic or technical role (education experience is a bonus but not essential)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage materials and resources
- Enthusiasm for supporting young people’s creativity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
