Secondary School Art & Design Technology (DT) Teacher
Maternity Cover (until the end of the school year)

Location: Salisbury
Contract Type: Maternity Cover until end of the school year
Start Date: September/October 2024

Protocol Education are working alongisde a Salisbury based Secondary school and we are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Art & Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join our creative team on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave until the end of the school year. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher or subject specialist to make a meaningful impact on our students’ artistic and design skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative Art and DT lessons to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
  • Inspire and support students in their creative development, encouraging them to explore different artistic and design techniques
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and learning
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Art and DT department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong subject knowledge and experience in Art and Design Technology
  • Experience in teaching or working with secondary school students
  • Passion for Art and Design, with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting students' personal and academic growth
