Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging art lessons to students
  • Develop and implement art curriculum in line with educational guidelines
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students on their artistic projects
  • Organise and supervise art-related activities and events
  • Assess and grade students' artwork
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall art education programme

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching art to students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques and mediums
  • Ability to inspire creativity and artistic expression in students
  • Effective classroom management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Art Education
  • Experience in organising art exhibitions or competitions
  • CPD training in art education

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in a school environment, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. The teacher may need to attend meetings, workshops, and school events outside of regular hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
