Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging art lessons to students
  • Develop and implement art curriculum in line with educational standards
  • Evaluate and assess students' artwork and progress
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their artistic skills
  • Organise and supervise art projects and exhibitions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Art or related field
  • Experience working as an Art Teacher

Degree in Art or related field

Experience:

Previous experience working as an Art Teacher

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of art techniques and principles
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students
  • Organisational skills to plan and manage art projects
  • Evaluation and assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Art Education
  • Experience teaching art across different age groups

Working Conditions:

The Art Teacher will primarily work in a classroom setting within a school environment. They may also be required to attend meetings, workshops, and school events outside of regular hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
