ROLE: Administrative Assistant

Protocol Education are working with a mainstream secondary school in Leeds who are looking for a Admin Assistant.
The successful candidate will be working in a busy fast-paced school environment, alongside the Admin Team. This is an exciting entry level opportunity in a supportive school.
This role will be administrative based, and people orientated, being the point of contact of employee support.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Hold strong interpersonal skills; you will be expected to offer exceptional support to staff, including managing sensitive and confidential information and circumstances.
- Accurately input data, experience using SIMS is ideal but not essential.
- Able to receive incoming calls professionally and confident making outbound calls.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise work.
- Hold basic IT skills and a capability to use software such as Microsoft packages.
- Hold strong written and spoke English, with the capability to write formal letters, emails, and other documents.
- Be a highly organised individual and able to organise and translate information between departments and staff members within the school.
- Be confident working in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold strong attention to detail.
- Able to follow direction well, reporting directly to the Office Manager, who will be a point of support.
Required Experience:
- Hold experience in an administrative role, within a school is preferred, but other administrative experience is considered.
- Hold strong interpersonal skills and proven experience working in a people-oriented role.
- Have a degree qualification, ideally within the Business or Psychology field, however, other degrees are considered.
- Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
- Some experience working with a school or with young people.
Contract Details:
- This role is full time, Monday to Friday, Leeds term time only and the option to take on additional workdays in school holidays.
- Working hours – 7am – 3pm or 8am – 4pm, with an earlier Friday finish.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
