Job Description:
As an Academic Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students' academic progress and personal development. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide one-on-one and small group tutoring, focusing on core subjects and study skills. Your goal will be to help students overcome academic challenges, build confidence, and achieve their educational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted academic support to students in various subjects, particularly in English, Math, and Science.
- Develop and deliver personalized tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, teachers, and parents.
- Assist students in developing effective study habits and organizational skills.
- Support students in preparing for exams and assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify students in need of additional support and develop intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and support activities.
Requirements:
- A degree in Education, a core subject, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a mentoring, tutoring, or teaching role is preferred.
- Strong subject knowledge in English, Math, or Science.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
