We are looking for a 1-to-1 LSA to work with a Year 3 child in a primary school in South Bristol. The school strive to support for academic success in a nurturing environment, meeting the needs of individuals. Their aim is to ensure that every child leaves as well-rounded individuals, having fulfilled their academic potential and having developed excellent social skills.
About the Role
The 1-to-1 LSA role is in a year 3 class working with a young boy with additional SEND needs and an EHCP. This child loves school and learning, but has experienced adverse childhood trauma. They are very enthusiastic and high-energy, and have a great relationship with the deputy head. They often sensory seek through smell and touch. Experience in trauma informed practice is essential for this role.
The role includes:
• Supporting the child in class
• Helping regulate the child through regular movement breaks
• Providing sensory opportunities for the child to explore
• Working with the school and parent to support the child’s progression in school.

Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
