What You’ll Be Doing:

Providing Tailored Support: Deliver focused, 1:1 assistance to a child with high SEN needs, ensuring they feel supported and valued throughout their school day.
Supporting Learning: Help the child engage with lessons, activities, and routines, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs.
Encouraging Growth: Promote confidence, independence, and positive social interactions.
Collaborating with Staff: Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to ensure the child’s needs are met effectively.
Ensuring Wellbeing: Prioritize the child’s safety and emotional wellbeing at all times, in line with school policies.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Key Requirements:

    • Experience supporting children with high SEN needs, especially in a 1:1 capacity.
    • A kind, patient, and resilient approach to working with children.
    • The ability to adapt and think on your feet in a dynamic classroom environment.
    • A current enhanced DBS check registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Desirable Attributes:

    • Specific experience with Autism, ADHD, or SEMH challenges.
    • An understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
    • A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or special needs support.
