Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational journey of a specific student, providing tailored support to meet their unique learning needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with an individual student, providing personalized support to enhance their learning experience.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of lessons, adapting materials and activities to accommodate the student's learning style.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the student's social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive support system.
  • Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to address specific learning goals.
  • Provide constructive feedback on the student's progress and contribute to regular reviews.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant is preferred.
  • Understanding of various learning needs, including but not limited to special educational needs (SEN).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of the student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
