Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who display challenging behaviour
- Implement individualised learning strategies and behaviour management techniques
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support the inclusion of students in all aspects of the school environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with students with SEND, particularly those with challenging behaviour
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques
Education:
Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
Experience:
Experience working with students with SEND and challenging behaviour
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
- Ability to implement individualised learning strategies
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
- Training in de-escalation techniques
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within a school setting, supporting students with SEND and challenging behaviour. The working hours are full-time, and the role may require flexibility in dealing with various student needs and behaviour challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
