Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Support the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities to meet the needs of SEN students
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN

Education: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in safeguarding and behaviour management
