1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to SEN students in a classroom setting
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans
  • Support students with their learning and personal development
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to meet the needs of SEN students

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with SEN students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable)

Experience:

Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN needs and strategies to support them
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Good organisational skills
  • Basic IT skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Additional training in working with SEN students

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time
  • Temporary position with the possibility of extension
  • Work in a classroom setting with SEN students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
