Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies
  • Support students in their academic and social development
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to provide a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN and SEMH
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques

Education:

Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent

Experience:

Previous experience working with students with SEN and SEMH challenges

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN and SEMH needs
  • Ability to implement individual education plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective behaviour management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • First Aid training

Working Conditions:

This role involves working within an educational setting, supporting students with SEN and SEMH. The working hours are Full-Time, and the role is temporary. The environment may be challenging at times, but rewarding in terms of making a positive impact on students' lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
