Job Duties:
- Providing 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Supporting students in their academic and social development
- Collaborating with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN and SEMH needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEN and SEMH conditions and effective support strategies
- Experience implementing behaviour management techniques
- Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or higher
- Additional training in areas such as autism awareness or mental health first aid
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within a school setting
- May involve some physical activity and emotional support for students
- Collaboration with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
