A lovely Primary school in Stanford-le-Hope are looking for 3 SEN TA's to work together to support 2 children. You will need to be able to work collectively and on a 1:1 basis with the children.

Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a non-verbal child with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans
  • Support the child in their communication and learning development
  • Help with personal care and behavioural management
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to create a supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly non-verbal communication needs
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
  • Strong communication skills and patience
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent

Experience:

Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Ability to adapt and differentiate learning activities
  • Excellent observational and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in Makaton or other alternative communication methods
