Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who exhibit challenging behaviours
  • Implement individualised education plans and behaviour management strategies
  • Assist with academic tasks, personal care, and social skills development
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students

Required Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with SEN and challenging behaviours
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent

Experience:

Prior experience working with individuals with SEN and challenging behaviours

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
  • Training in behaviour management techniques

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with students with SEN
  • Full-time hours, temporary position

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
