Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)

Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the SEMH category
- Assist in implementing individual education plans and behaviour management strategies
- Support the emotional and social development of students
- Work closely with teachers and SENCO to create a supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team
Required Qualifications:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Understanding of SEN principles and best practises
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Knowledge of SEMH and strategies to support students with these needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
- Training in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques
Working Conditions:
- Temporary position with the possibility of extension
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
