Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a classroom setting
- Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Support students in their academic and social development
- Help with classroom management and behaviour support
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
Education:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Relevant teaching assistant qualification is desirable
Experience:
- Experience working in a classroom setting with special educational needs students
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and its impact on learning
- Ability to adapt and tailor support to individual student needs
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in special educational needs (SEN)
- First aid training

- Work primarily in a classroom environment
