Job Duties:

The 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will provide support to a student with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis. Duties include assisting with academic tasks, implementing individualised education plans, fostering a supportive learning environment, and promoting the student's overall well-being.

Required Qualifications:

GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications. Experience working with children with special educational needs. Knowledge of special education practises and strategies.

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications.

Experience:

Prior experience working with children with special educational needs is required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of special education practises, ability to provide individualised support, strong communication skills, patience, and empathy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, additional training in special education, first aid certification.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in an educational setting, collaborating with teachers and other support staff, adapting to the student's individual needs, and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
