Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), focusing on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Safeguard the well-being and safety of students at all times
- Support students in their academic and social development
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and relevant legislation
Education:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
Experience:
Prior experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEMH conditions and effective support strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good understanding of safeguarding procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in areas related to Special Educational Needs and SEMH support
- First Aid qualification
Working Conditions:
- Work in a school setting with varying levels of noise and activity
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviour from students
- Regular collaboration with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
