Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans and behaviour management strategies.
  • Safeguard the well-being and safety of students at all times.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, behaviour, and any concerns to report to the SENCO or designated staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude towards challenging situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certification or training in Special Educational Needs.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
  • Understanding of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
