Job Duties:
The 1:1 SEN LSA with Autism will provide support and assistance to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a one-on-one setting. Duties include implementing individualised education plans, assisting with academic and social activities, and promoting a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant experience working with individuals with Autism and SEN - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team - Patience and empathy towards students with special needs
Education:
Ideally a Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Psychology, Special Education)
Experience:
Prior experience working with individuals with Autism and SEN in an educational setting is preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions - Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs - Familiarity with behaviour management techniques - Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training in Autism and SEN support - Certification in First Aid and/or Safeguarding
Working Conditions:
This role involves working within an educational setting, closely collaborating with teachers, parents, and other support staff. The work may require flexibility in terms of working hours and adapting to the individual needs of the student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
