Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to a student with ADHD in an educational setting
- Implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of the student
- Assist the student with academic tasks and classroom activities
- Support the student in developing social skills and managing behaviour
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Understanding of ADHD and strategies to support students with this condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Experience:
Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant with students with SEN, particularly ADHD
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of SEN policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
- First Aid certification
- Mental Health First Aid training
Working Conditions:
- Work in an educational setting with a focus on supporting students with SEN
- Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required
- Collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals
- Potential exposure to challenging behaviours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
