Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them access the curriculum
  • Implement individualised education plans under the guidance of the SENCO
  • Assist with the personal care needs of students as required
  • Support the emotional and social development of students
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN requirements and strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work within a school setting
  • Potential exposure to challenging behaviours
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
