Job Title: SEN Teacher- Science/Maths 

This is for an independent special day school for pupils ages 11 – 18 years who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. The schools dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who will often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.

£30,000 - £40,000 Per annum

Job Duties:

The SEN Teacher will be responsible for teaching Science and Maths to students with Autism and some complex needs. Duties include creating and implementing individualised education plans, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, providing a safe and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with parents, carers, and other professionals to support student development.

 

You will be confident in using your knowledge and expertise to monitor progress, give regular feedback and encourage young people to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study. We are particularly interested in candidates from a teaching or SEN/ASC teaching backgrounds. As a SEN Teacher you will seek ways to positively engage with and motivate pupils through lessons that promote learning and raise levels of attainment.

Required Qualifications:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies

- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
