Job Duties:

The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will support teachers in delivering high-quality education to students. Duties include assisting with lesson planning, leading small group activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping with classroom management.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is required. A valid DBS check is essential.

Education:

GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above are required. Additional qualifications in education or child development are desirable.

Experience:

Prior experience working in a classroom setting as a Teaching Assistant is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team, good understanding of child development, and proficiency in supporting students with special educational needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable. Additional training in safeguarding and first aid is a plus.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school setting, following the school's term dates and hours. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant may need to assist with extracurricular activities and attend meetings and training sessions as required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
