Computer Science Specialist - Wakefield

Protocol Education are working with secondary schools in the Wakefield area to appoint enthusiastic and committed Computer Teacher for a maternity cover starting in January 2025. 

QTS required for this role 

Start Date: 6th January 2025

Qualified Teachers paid to scale

 

Job Duties:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons to students - This will be prepared and done for you.

Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback

Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning

Establish a positive and supportive learning environment

Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) 

 

Experience:

Proven experience teaching Science at secondary school level is preferred

Experience working with Children/Young People within education

Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent understanding of Computer Science concepts and principles

Effective classroom management skills

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) 

Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilitiess
