Employer: Protocol Education
Position Type: Full-Time, Temp to Perm

About the Role:

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds? Protocol Education is thrilled to be recruiting a Classroom Assistant for a lively primary school in Colchester! We’re looking for someone warm, enthusiastic, and ready to dive into a role where every day brings something new. As a Classroom Assistant, you’ll support teachers and help students thrive—whether it’s guiding small group activities, sparking creativity, or lending an extra hand wherever it’s needed.

This is a temp-to-perm role, so if you love it (and we think you will), there’s potential for it to become a long-term opportunity. Sound like a fit? Let’s make a difference together!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Classroom Support: Work alongside the class teacher to create an organized, engaging, and safe learning environment.
  • Hands-On Learning: Help students with their daily lessons, guiding them through fun and interactive activities.
  • 1:1 and Group Assistance: Provide support for individual students as well as small groups, adapting activities to meet each child’s needs.
  • Positive Role Model: Encourage students to do their best, developing their confidence, social skills, and love for learning.
  • Admin Help: Assist with organizing classroom resources, keeping things tidy, and prepping for lessons.
  • School Spirit: Get involved in the school’s activities, from assemblies to special events, contributing to a positive school culture!

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Engaging and Enthusiastic: You’ve got a positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Adaptable and Patient: Every child learns at their own pace, and you’re here to cheer them on every step of the way!
  • Team Player: Working well with teachers, staff, and other assistants to create a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Experience Preferred: Prior experience in a classroom setting or working with children is ideal, but if you have a passion for education, we’d love to hear from you!
