Job Duties:

The 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will provide support to a student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational setting. Responsibilities include assisting the student with their learning activities, providing emotional support, helping with personal care needs if required, and working closely with the class teacher to ensure the student's individual education plan is implemented effectively.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Enhanced DBS check.

Education:

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working with children or individuals with SEN is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of SEN and different learning needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. First Aid certification.

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school environment, following the school term calendar. May require assisting the student with mobility and personal care. Training and support will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
