Position: Teaching Cover Supervisor
Area: Hounslow
Full Time 8:30 - 3:30
Start Date: September 2024.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Teaching Cover Supervisor to join our team starting in September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring that students continue their learning and maintain good behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with the work set by the absent Teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
- Support students with their learning and provide assistance as needed.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and ensure that learning objectives are met.
- Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
- Report back to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues that arose during the lesson.
- Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience working in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work under pressure.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
- A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
- A degree or further qualifications in education or a related field.
Requirements:
- The right to work in the UK.
- Recent graduate in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, English, Maths, Science, RE ect)
- Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Demonstrated commitment to education and personal growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
