ECT Secondary Teacher

We are looking for early career teachers to work in a secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a fabulous way to put your knowledge into practice and gain some valuable experience in secondary schools before gaining a permanent role, which we can also assist with. Pay: £120-200 daily rate

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Key Responsibilities as a Secondary Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and lessons for secondary students (ages 11-16)
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' work, ensuring their continuous growth and development.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, and competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and promote interdisciplinary learning.

Requirements:

  • Valid teaching certification for secondary education UK (PGCE or QTS).
  • Bachelor’s degree in history or related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience teaching at the secondary level (preferred).
  • Local to the Teesside area (driver is preferred).
  • Hold an Enhanced Child ONLY DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
